Programs

Welcome to "High School Disc Golf" in partnership with Alamance Parks and the Burlington Area Disc Golf Club (BADGC). This instructional disc golf program will be for 9th through 12th graders on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30pm-7:00pm at Cedarock Park during the months of May and June.

This program is open to players of all abilities. The focus of the program is to establish a good foundation for various shot types: drives, approach shots, putting, and shot shaping. We encourage participants to invite their friends to join us anytime during the season. New participants will just have to sign up using RecDesk.

Instructional practice rounds will be on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at Cedarock Park from 5:30pm-7:00pm. We will meet at the gazebo next to the tee-pad to hole number one of the Cedarock Park Disc Golf Course.

Starting the week of June 4th, Thursday instructional sessions will become Thursday tournament rounds. On Thursdays afternoons starting on June 20th, everyone will meet at different disc golf courses around Alamance County and participate in a fun tournament style competition with their fellow participants of the program. Awards and prizes will be giving out each week for winning players/teams, furthest drive, closest to the pins, and other mini-competitions. We will still meet on Tuesdays at Cedarock Park to practice our skills.

Instructors will be volunteers from the Burlington Area Disc Golf Club as well as Alamance Parks staff.
